Bubba Wright Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship application is due May 1.  Amount- $1,000 available.  Amount will be determined based upon number of applicants.  Please complete online profile and submit application for Dollars for Scholars.  Preference given to students attending vocational/technical school.

SELCO Scholarships

As a member-owned financial cooperative, SELCO takes pride in supporting the educational goals of our members and their families. SELCO was started by educators in 1936 and we understand the critical role education plays in the future strength of our community. If you are a high school senior planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university, read the SELCO Scholarship requirements below to see if you’re eligible to apply for a $1,500 SELCO Scholarship.

Scholarship Eligibility

The SELCO Scholarship is intended for students continuing their education at a two- or four-year college or university.

To apply for a SELCO Scholarship, you must be:

  • A SELCO member or an immediate family member of a SELCO member (SELCO employees and their immediate family members are not eligible)
  • A graduating senior from a four-year accredited high school with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5

Mike and Betty Morgan Scholarship

This scholarship is due March 1st.  Amount is determined by the number of applicants.  Applicants must apply through OSAC.  High School seniors and other Harney County graduates.  For students in an agricultural related field.  Applicant must have graduated from Harney County high school.

This scholarship is on the Harney County Dollars for Scholars list.

This committee awards scholarships annually to university and community college students to assist them in completing degree programs in fields of study relevant to future work in the drinking water profession. The committee works closely with the Education and Training Endowment Fund Board of Directors to implement the Section’s scholarship program.

The committee’s responsibilities include developing scholarship award criteria, disseminating applications to Northwest educational institutions, nominating student applicants for scholarship awards, and presenting awards to recipients at the PNWS Annual Conference.

The Section currently offers twelve named scholarships, listed below. Scholarship amounts vary by year based on Education and Training Endowment Fund performance and budget decisions by the Section Board.

In addition, The Section receives generous support from Ameron International and Kelman Publishing for additional scholarships. In 2015, the Section provided a total of $24,500 in scholarship funds to nine students.

Lions Jeff Hull Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is due March 1st.  $600.  Applicants must apply through OSAC.  An essay on how music has or will affect your life is required.  Harney County High School seniors & undergraduates are eligible to apply.

This scholarship is on the Harney County Dollars for Scholars list.

Sterling Law Offices, S.C. Student Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Deadlines (2): Bi-annual: June 30 and December 31 every year

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a High School senior who plans on attending post-secondary education full time and has a minimum GPA of 3.0. All majors are encouraged to apply.
