Global Studies

This course is designed to study two main branches of geography, human and physical. Students will study map making and map reading, the geography of world regions and countries, as well as an introduction to world economic and political systems, and a study of various world cultures.
U.S. History
- Grade 11
- Length of Course: Required 1 year
- Prerequisites: None
This course is a survey of U.S. History from early exploration of the Americas to the present including the study of discovery, immigration, and settlement in the United States. A study of major American wars and the events preceding and following them and the introduction of social issues throughout the U.S. history will be included.
Citizenship Education
- Grade 12
- Length of Course: Required 1 year
- Prerequisites: None
This course provides the information necessary for a student to function in a democratic society including a thorough study of the U.S. Constitution (its history, contents, and function), a working knowledge of national, state, and local government structures, a study of civil and personal rights, and a comparison study of governments of the world.
